The Process of Turf Laying
Site Clearance: Firstly, our job is to clear the area, removing any large stones and debris so the ground be prepared and properly levelled. If an old lawn is to be replaced, then the old grass will be carefully dug out and removed before the preparation of the soil and the levelling.
Preparing the soil: We dig through or rotovate the soil so that it loosens up, then flatten and level it so that it could be ready for our quality turf to be placed.
Laying the turf: Our expert team will carefully lay the turf row by row to create your seamless lawn.
Edging: To obtain clean edges, excess turf is cut.
Aftercare: Once the turf is laid on the soil and the edging is done, a little pressure is applied on the surface of the turf to ensure that it makes contact with the soil. Then it is thoroughly watered. Remember that it will take a few weeks for your lawn to fully establish so we advise you to water it regularly to ensure the turf doesn’t dry out. You can start mowing when the grass reaches 2.5cm – 5cm height, never removing more than one third of the total height of the grass at a time.
